Bah. When I was a kid I took showers with my dad. That's actually how we started our first birds and bees talk.

If you want to talk about weirdness, Dobson offers a lot of big fat targets (my understanding is that he was pretty abusive toward his kids--altho I might be confusing him with a different funky fundy). For that matter, the rest of that quote is a lot freakier than a dad showering with his son and his son learning about how a body develops from that. Just why the hell can't a dad roughhouse with his daughter, or play catch, or teach her how to pound a nail?
