Have a wonderful weekend and mid-week holiday (???).

I'm retired and a volunteer on Fridays. I can't remember how the country celebrated July 4th when it fell in the middle of the week.

I think a lot of people are taking the whole week off. I see that our neighbor has his trailer all hitched up... they'll probably be gone with their two young boys. And the lovely Asian family next door is going away with their three teenagers.

We're staying home for a change... supposed to go to the Oregon Coast, but I'm pooped out on travel and trying to chase down some phantom pains in my chest.

If the weather is nice, I'll do a little parade in my daughter's neighborhood. I have a fun Red White and Blue outfit (made in the USA, but PURCHASED IN THAILAND0!

At night, I'll watch Boston's and Washington, DC's celebration on television in our air conditioned media room.

Expected high next Wednesday is 87 degrees F. and sunny!
