Here's why:

Killing someone in response to them killing animals is a matter of degree. You cannot say that it is ALWAYS wrong to do this. If someone was killing neighborhood pets she didn't like, or torturing animals to death, the position gets a bit fuzzier.

On the other hand, there is no number of abortions that a clinic could perform that would excuse someone who bombs it. Bombing a clinic is always wrong, no matter how you try to justify it.
