... is one of the reasons they are perceived as weak and enabling of the Repubs' agenda.

We need 60 good Dem Senators and a Democratic president to do some serious cleaning up, but the damage between now and then will be ghastly.

Check out Wyden on Wikipedia and what he had to say about repealing the *gag* Patriot Act. He can be very compelling. If only he hadn't voted to enable bush's Medicare debacle. :(

I love what Jon Tester had to say about it. He was asked if he would strengthen the Act, and he said, "Strengthen it? I'm going to try to get rid of it!" (paraphrasing)
