abolished religion because they did not want divided loyalties. But everytime the athiest subject gets brought up, people have to say stupid shit like "Look at China and Russia". The crimes of stalin and others were not caused by athiesm, but by the fact that they were sick individuals. On the other hand, the crimes of the various churches (past and present) were not caused by religion, but by sick leaders who misintepretted their teachings for their own gains.
