36. Thank You For Sharing That Wonderful Article
I will never understand why gay men and women are seen as incapable of marrying and providing a child with a loving, supportive and wonderful home. This story reminded me of a Jewish gay couple who were featured on an episode of one of the HGTV home remodeling programs. The episode had me in tears because they provided a home for and adopted three African-American children and, it was so obvious, the sun rose and set on those kids. Also, their first concern was that the home and bathroom (which they were remodeling) be child friendly.

For the life of me, I do not get why ANY loving couple who wants to provide a home for children who are in need of one would be denied that right. I thought that what was in the best interests of the kids was what was supposed to be most important, not some religious and heterosexual litmus test to see who had the right to adopt. I hope that one day we can get to the point where it is considered the norm for gays to have the right to adopt and not an anomaly.
