See, there are many of the religious in the south who actually believe in the concept of separation of church and state. These are the people who come under fire from the likes of the Sarah Paling's as not truly being christians because they don't want to live in a theocratic state.

While they may be socially conservative, have problems with abortion and so on, they don't want a theocracy, and that is what needs to be made very clear, imo.
