It's where my daughters and I spent our last real spring break family vacation (oldest daughter's senior year in high school) in 2004. I am glad we got to experience/visit it before this happened. Just standing in their Walmart parking lot and looking at the gulf view made me wished I lived there!
It will bounce back. Not soon enough, but it will. Anyone who has seen the film they show down there of the hurricane in 1900 knows the area/people will rise again. The first three pictures were taken on our ferry trip. The last was a tour boat we took that was docked near the aquarium.     |
