This is Bush's deal. It's his henchmen who are begging at the trough.

Why are the Republicans against this and the Dems for it???

My head is spinning.

I am so completely boggled by this. I thought it would be the Dems holding out
and the Republicans screaming at the Dems for failing to save the economy.

Are the Reps forcing the Dems to fight for this bailout--to get them on
record as being 'for' it--and then when it fails the Reps will be able
to say, "We didn't want to do this! We told you so!"

Is that the deal?
