24. Your misleading headline aside,
Edited on Fri Aug-07-09 12:41 PM by reflection
I'm torn about the use of tasers in these situations. My daughters love to go to football games with their old man. And I love to take them. But the number of people who are just absolutely marinated in alcohol screaming profanities are really becoming prevalent. It is extremely common to hear MFer this and C-sucking that when a call goes the "wrong" way.

I usually tap them on the shoulder and say "Hey man, c'mon. I've got little girls here. You mind dialing it down a little?" Works about 75% of the time. Another 25% want to argue and/or fight about it. Heck, I took my father-in-law to a college FB game last fall. The guy can barely walk. As I was helping him up out of his seat so I could escort him to the bathroom, he stumbled onto the back of the guy in front of us. Despite my apologies, the guy who got fallen upon, although perfectly fine, was certain he had been "disrespected". I told this clown if both of us wanted to go to jail we could have a go, but that I'd rather not, and why didn't just he chill out. Luckily he did. I've been to jail and it's not much fun.

Ohio State and Michigan games are becoming known for spectators urinating in ziploc bags and throwing them at the opposing fans. LSU/MS State games usually end up with someone being bloodied by a cowbell. Refs in all sports get hit with bottles and batteries all the time. It's way out of hand. I don't know what the solution is, but I'm not ready to condemn these policemen(?, maybe security) until I see what the guy did preceding the call to security.

edit for typo
