We'll have to wait and see if the final bill contains a public option. Then we'll know.

I still think Rahm needs to work on them without throwing the left under the bus. He takes us just a little too much for granted. If there were any clues whatsoever that they were going to bone up and take care of this that the left would have held back. I think the left got impatient as single payer (which never had a chance) but then the public option started being rumored to be gone.

The public option is the middle ground. Single payer was given up by the left. Now let's see if co-ops are given up by the Blue Dogs.
