The idea that any assassination attempt begins with open carry is simply stupid. Rather than detecting the threat at 100ft and seconds from the President they alert you to them 500 feet away, out of line of sight of the President and often hours before the President even shows up. It defies logic.
If there is an attempt on the life of Obama my guess is it looks a lot like the attempted assassination of President Reagan
