Insurance companies vs automobile companies ?

Republicans had no problem if the automakers went under. If they can't compete, too bad. No matter how much they have contributed to this country, in jobs and wealth creation. From the time of Henry Ford, the auto makers have been expanding the middle class. But once they fell on hard times, the Republicans were ready to throw them overboard.

But the big insurance companies are another issue altogether. They need to be protected from competition. We can't let them disappear. Look at all the wealth they have created. <sarcasm> At least, look at the wealth they have taken from the middle class of America and put in the pockets of those at the top. Just an example of the upside-down priorities of the Republican Party.
