9. Getting his ducks in a row - Yes, but there really is no "good" prognosis with his tumor.
It will always come back stronger and worse than before. I had a close family member die of the exact same thing and have since been involved with groups of people who have the same kind of brain cancer and it just sucks. Sounds like he just wants to make sure his seat is filled quickly, if/when the cancer comes back.
