very good at gaming the system (using company politics) their entire career. Ethics didn't fit into the equation though focus on one goal is essential Small companies are an entirely different matter. Some gamed and some worked their asses off. The funny thing is that the guy that starts a company typically is lousy at running it when it gets big. Not always but usually there are two separate temperaments. The company starter is usually a risk taker and likes control and they don't usually fit a cautious corporate culture.
