Don't confuse the two. I'm sure that, given free and fair elections, the Cubans would kick the communists out of power. Therefore my comments are to be construed as "anti-communist", not "anti-Cuban". Don't forget, Cubans mixed with African slaves, we mixed with native Americans and a little with African slaves, so got a little more oriental DNA in our blood.

For the uninformed, the Native American population came to the Americas from Asia, via Beringia, this has been shown by DNA studies, when they arrived, they exterminated the megafauna which existed in the Americas, once that party was over, the newly arrived homo sapiens went ahead and behaved as it always did, growing the population, cutting trees, sometimes destroying the environment, and always trying to kill the guy next door whenever possible). We are a mixture of European invaders with these earlier migrants, with a tad of African slave mixed in, but we're a lot more laid back :-)

Cubans, on the other hand, have a slightly different background. The Spaniards exterminated all the natives on the island, either via disease transmission or outright genocide, so they decided to import African slaves. The Cuban population thus shows more of a mixed European-African descent. But we're close enough we can play dominoes together, and their music and ours are the same.

As for you white Americans, it would really help if you didn't try to classify people of mixed blood as "black" or "white", it is ridiculous. In any case, you white folk are just mutated Africans, you lost your ability to darken your skin as a survival mechanism, when you were forced to move north by us, the darker skinned southerners. So, as you fled north into the snowy wilderness of the ice age, you had to lighten up to absorb more sun light - imagine how you must have suffered in that cold, you didn't even know how to make a fur coat, and yet you had to survive somehow. Therefore we don't mind your mutated nature, it's not your fault :-)
