It's overdue, and only a start, but President Obama has finally decided to do some truthtelling about the Teahadists and their behavior in Congress. Even better, he's doing so as a larger push to push efforts to boost job creation.
Obama to GOP: Put country before partyHe listed a series of proposals he's already offered, from a payroll tax extension to trade bills to an infrastructure bank, things "we can do right now that will put more money in your pockets, will help businesses sell more products around the world, will put people to work in Michigan and across the country."
"The only thing preventing these bills from being passed is the refusal of some folks in Congress to put country ahead of party," he said.
Some in Congress, Obama continued, "would rather see their opponents lose than see America win, and that has to stop."
Very shrill. Almost partisan. Though he still doesn't say 'Republican' we know who he means.
Country first, assholes.
