A baby will pick up a spoon and shake it, thinking the spoon is a rattler. It does not mean that the baby will never learn how to use a spoon, so why don't we all turn off the fire alarms? Holy crap.

Here's a question: why don't the stupid parents READ to the kid? At 1 year old, my niece and nephews knew what a magazine was and what it was for because their uncle, their grandparents, and their parents read to them. Alarmist Luddite B.S. is what this looks like to me. If that girl had been read to, she'd have no problems knowing what pages are; instead, it looks like the parents have been doing way too much babysitting by iPad. The kid won't turn out any stupider than if the TV had been her babysitter instead.
