Her brain hasn't been rewired. A baby's brain is already wired to be more drawn to the bright, noisy, interactive object than the static, dull object.

There's a reason they don't market magazines for infants. Babies can't read yet and once a baby learns to turn the pages, the pages themselves would never hold their interest for very long.
