30. I am shocked, humbled, and highly amused
Didn't see this until now.

Holy Cow! Thanks!

We all need to pull together to stop Social Security from being gutted. The "Deficit Commission", in which 10 of the 18 members had publicly called for Social Security cuts before they were even appointed, voted to recommend slashing $56,000 from the average beneficiary's lifetime benefits. A little review of the math shows there's zero good reason for this, it's just another application of the Shock Doctrine to steal trillions from working Americans so that the wealthiest can get even wealthier. It is an awful thing that is being done here, and we must fight, and we must prevail.

With so many Americans against cutting benefits - heck, http://mountainsageblog.com/2010/04/15/tea-partiers-fear-socialism-but-love-social-security-and-medicare/">even most in the Tea Party are in favor of Social Security and Medicare - we have a shot at stopping this shameless operation. If the good guys can't win this one, I don't think we can win anything.
