Greenspan Sends Dollar to Multiyear Lows
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The dollar slumped across the board, plunging to four-and-a-half-year lows against the yen on Friday, after Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said demand for U.S. assets could decline at some point given the size of the current account deficit.

In remarks prepared for delivery to a European bankers conference in Frankfurt, Greenspan said: "It seems persuasive that, given the size of the U.S. current account deficit, a diminished appetite for adding to dollar balances must occur at some point."

4. Nevada mining
2nd largest producer of gold in the world.

Economy has gone nuts in last 6 months.. every business is hiring.

Mining is very high tech now and microscopic... lots of jobs.

What gripes me is seeing high school dropouts making over $80,000 driving equipment.

12. Yup. We have hi-risk investors spending their people, as capital,
,...ruling our country. They are so arrogant and so invested in their belief in their own luck and skill,...they are prepared to gamble away the LIFE and treasure of their people.

I believe, like all other fascists before them, they completely underestimate human resource, will and spirit. They will bankrupt, in so many ways, a country that really was once the beacon of hope for this world.

15. I used to believe that Greenspan
was a genius, because of the economic security we lived through during Clinton's terms. I was brainwashed by the Clintonbashers. Now I give credit where credit is due.

,...we ARE on the same tortured ship. The question is: are we willing to "wake up" our fellow shipmates?

The battle is really about keeping the conversation about "the people" alive,...every day,...every way.

This is a war for humanity,...not merely a "war of ideas" as the self-serving power-mongers would have us believe. Those mongers are worth our commitment in defeating the disease they spread,...which is priceless in defeating. Humanity deserves a REAL western CIVILIZATION.

I guess they weren't a few weeks ago when Greenspan was telling people that everything was rosy...

So, again, we, as consumers didn't have all the information needed to make an inteligent decision...

Can we sue Greenspan for Fraud.......
