(Calif) State democrats aim to hold their ground
SACRAMENTO - Emboldened by their success in this month's elections, state Democrats say they don't plan to give an inch to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in the coming fight over the budget.

Many Democrats say the debate could be an all-out political war. Privately, administration officials agree.

"This year's budget has the potential to be much uglier than last year's debate," said Sacramento-based Republican political consultant and longtime Capitol observer Dan Schnur. "Even if everyone came to the table wanting to play nice, there aren't any easy decisions left to be made."

2. I anticipate that this battle will be over principles. I see signs that
the Democratic Party in California is getting ready to talk about what they stand for and are ready to show people how principles convert to public policy.

Hopefully this will be another trend that starts in California and sweeps the rest of the country.

3. From your keyboard to God's browser.
The SFBay Area is the only place where I even recognize an "America" I grew up believing in.

6. I think the changeover from Burton will be good
Burton was a good advocate for many years but the work comp package he folded on was absolutely unforgivable.

4. As a person born and raised California
I am still trying to get over the fact Arnold Schwarzenegger is called the governor of California. The real governor of California is Jeb Bush. Jeb Bush "loaned", Donna Arduin Budget Director of Florida to California to get its finances straighten out. If you want to control an institution, you start with the money.

The real truth about California's financial situation is that California was plumb with about 17 billion until Mr. Bush Jr. took office. Most of that money is out of the state, and a good quantity of it Texas (approx. 9 billion). This was due to the fabricated energy crisis. California was told we need to lower our environmental laws and build more power generating stations

Arnold Schwarzenegger promised to fix financial corruption that Mr. Grey Davis created. So far, Arnold has done dick. Lets see the true blue colors come out the next governors election.
