Wal-Mart's Chinese Workers can Unionize
Retailer bows to pressure of Communist Government. It's a disgrace that our government fails to pressure companies to take care of its employees.

Here's a great quote...

"Currently, there are no unions in Wal-Mart China because associates have not requested that one be formed," the statement said.

So um, what's your excuse for not allowing U.S. and Canadian workers to unionize when they've requested it????

10. The Detroit News did a GREAT story on outsourcing
In their report, the "average worker" at a US wire factory makes 7.50 an hour.

If you move the job to Mexico, that 7.50 per hour hires 5.5 workers @1.35 an hour

If you take the same job and move it to Honduras, that same 7.50 pays for 9.2 workers at .81 an hour.

If you finally take that same job to China, it pays for 16.7! workers at .45 an hour.

Great article from this past Sunday. People concerned with outsourcing and globalization will find it very interesting.

Most of the jobs that the auto industry lost in the 90s to Mexico have shifted from there to the other countries listed. Each country that is left behind is even more devastated that we are because they were dirt poor to begin with. Folks in Honduras, on that wage, cannot even afford to PURCHASE clean water. Sick world we live in.

Anyone who requests it, is destined not to be a worker...Walmart will see to that!
