1. Okay, why is bush putting the most weight on reservists/nat'l guard?
Do people think that bush is saving the regular forces for something?

2. It's the Wal Mart / home depot theory of manpower
Part timers are cheaper and the dollars saved go to defense contractors.

5. Thanks for answering my question.
I was hoping it would be a more reasonable explanation. Of course not. Dollars for contractors. I am disgusted.

4. more and more people can say.."I know someone", or
"My cousin's boss" or "the vice principals son".....is being deployed.
And that will be followed by "so and so lost a daughter, son, cousin, brother over there".....

How many will have to "know someone" 'till we reach that critical mass where we can make it stop?

...propaganda.

"It must be something to die for a cause" heard on local television after high school principal propagandized working class student body over former classmates deaths.

Here's another quote from a teen age college student dummer than a box of rocks: "they gave their lives so we could be free."
