DoD Identifies Army Casualty (from Fallujah)
Sgt. Joseph M. Nolan, 27, of Philadelphia, Pa., died Nov. 18 in Fallujah, Iraq, when his unit was on patrol and an improvised explosive device detonated near his up-armored HMMWV. Nolan was assigned to the 312th Military Intelligence Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

News Release

It appears that Fallujah is far from secured.

1. Over a hundred dead and over 560 wounded

That is wounded not returned to duty this month. Not very good by any standard. Did we "turn the corner?" Did the Iraqi attacks "lacK tactical significance?" Is Iraq "more secure?" Or are we just "tightening the noose?"

What is the jingo or cliche of the day to justify this carnage?
