Powell: Syria Can Do More to Curb Iraq
WASHINGTON -- Secretary of State Colin Powell said Wednesday that Syria can do more to curb infiltration of foreign fighters into Iraq.

Commenting on his meeting Tuesday with Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara in Egypt, Powell credited Syria with taking some action to limit such intrusions.

"We would like to see more action taken," he said, describing his discussions with al-Shara as "solid" and "candid."

Powell said they also discussed ways to prevent people from using Syrian territory to raise money or provide funds to insurgent elements or terrorists in Iraq.

1. Syria should just tell Powell to piss up a rope...
...and remind him that a border has TWO sides.

2. I don't know how syrians can do anything right now, seeing as
they woke up in March 2003 to find their country had overnight been covered with large red walls that appear to go on across the horizon. Once the climbed over them, they saw in the distance further huge red walls.

Finally, one of the Syrian scientists went up in a weather plane and realized that these were concentric circles--smaller in size as they got closer to the damascus. As for damascus itself--well, it was encapsulated by a huge red circular building....

They called around to find out what had happened...no one else knew of similar ocurrences in their own countries, that is until they got a call back from Khamanei in Tehran...he and his countrymen had found the same thing taking place in March 2004.

Curiouser and curiouser ;)

6. Visualize the huge red walls circling the city in concentric circles.
Now view it from oh .... maybe 20,000 feet up and aim.

5. Vely Interesting
Israel rebuffs Syrian peace overture

Syrian President Bashar al-Asad is ready to reopen negotiations with Israel without conditions, according to the visiting UN Middle East envoy. But Israeli has rejected the overture as propaganda.

"President Asad had reiterated to me today that he has an outstretched hand to his Israeli counterpart, that he is willing to go to the table without conditions," Terje Roed-Larsen said after talks with the Syrian leader in Damascus on Wednesday.

But Israel rapidly dismissed the reported offer as a propaganda move designed to alleviate pressure from the United States.

"This seems to be a propaganda manoeuvre by the Syrian side," a senior foreign ministry official on Wednesday said on condition of anonymity.

9. What's up with Colin?
You don't hear shit from him for months, and then he tenders his resignation. All of a sudden, his face is on the TeeVee every friggin' day. I don't get it.

10. The PNAC wants to do Syria so badly it hurts
They wanted to in April of '03, but they'd bungled Baghdad too badly.

Now, we hear little rumblings about mortar fire coming from Syria and we've closed our Embassy. With what army, you ask? How about the IDF? They'd love to help.

11. Make up your Mind Stepin Fetchitt!
One day you tell lies about Iran and NOO-CLEAR warheads.

The next day you tell the same lies about Syria.

Stepin, I tell you what, if you want to invade these countries so bad, send that miserable fat ass failure of a son of yours into the army.

You already killed my Jon, Stepin.

I have nothing left to lose and I want YOU to experience the joy YOU and your ASSHOLE 5th columnist pals have put my heart through, especially today. And tell that fucking thief you whore for to send his slut daughters with your asshole son!

There is an empty chair in my kitchen that won't be filled ever again.

But there is one less empty space in the cemetery where I will go this morning and cry again.

Belafonte was right about you. Damn you. BURN IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY WITH YOUR FELLOW NAZIS.

I want out of Jesusland.

The time has come for California to secede so NOBODY ever has to hurt the way I do, especially today.
