Spain's PM Sends Bush Message of Goodwill
CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) - Spain's king brought President Bush a message of goodwill Wednesday from Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, whose vocal opposition to the Iraq war has chilled U.S.-Spanish relations.

Zapatero, the head of the Spanish government, has written and called Bush to congratulate him on his re-election, but can't get past the White House switchboard. Bush sent him a note earlier this month thanking him.

Bush drove his white pickup truck to the landing site, accompanied by his wife, Laura, and his father, former President George H.W. Bush. After a hearty handshake and a lingering pose for group pictures, Bush held the pickup's passenger door open for his royal guest; the king rode shotgun during a tour of the 1,600-acre ranch, the wives in the back seats.

Zapatero's office said the king went to Crawford bearing a message from Zapatero. Officials in Spain did not reveal its contents, and White House officials declined to comment. Spanish news media said the message was meant to improve Spanish-American relations.

3. I feel bad for Juna Carlos and Sofia
He is a good man, and is doing this for historically sound reasons. Spain suffers when isolating itself from world affairs. By no means will Spain get re-involved with a bogus war effort like Iraq, but by no means will it suffer bruised diplomatic relations for very long either. Got to look at the big picture, economically and strategically.

I am sorry he is suffering the chimp and Mrs. Stepford, but it is for the good of Spain, his first duty, and one he has fulfilled greatly since 1975.

8. Juan Carlos a good man!?
He is a staunch member of Opus Dei and they are not good people. JP II is of their ilk but John XXIII was very wary of Opus Dei.

5. I am sure the pick-up truck
Impressed Their Majesties:eyes:

By the way, I do have a piece of Spanish Royal gossip for ya...The Crown Prince married a former reporter, and she is just so hated by the Royal family, now including her new hubby. They have only been married for six months, but since Felipe was "in love" with her, he insisted upon marrying her even if he had only known her for three months previously. On the morning of the wedding, all hell broke loose inside Zazuela, because Letizia (The wife) was pissed that she was not given the title of "Princess Letizia" by the king(She is *only* the Princess of Austrias), and that she was not given any jewelry. The wedding was morbidly entertaining because Letizia kept on giving Felipe the evil eye and Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos were having to keep from rolling their eyes.

Just some gossip:7

6. Noble, but likely futile.
Still, he at least tried. Which is far more than a certain leader* in office hasn't been able to do...

9. Why was POPPY out there in the front row to greet King Juan Carlos and
Queen Sofía?

Was it because his son does not have good manners enough to be exposed to Royalty by himself?

Was it because no matter how much money and power the bushes have, the king and queen of Spain have something the bushes lust after--that being class and erudition?

Was it because Papa Bush a/k/a Poppy IS the RULING HEAD of the bush goons?

Why, o why, did Poppy, like sticky rice, have to play a part in Los Reyes' visit to C R A W F O R D?

Why is he always pulling out his dick in front of all the descendents of Spain? Very embarrassing.
