Blast hits Iraq oil pipeline
An explosion hit a domestic pipeline today that runs from northern Kirkuk to the Beiji refinery, oil officials said.

The early morning sabotage took place in the Fatha area, about 113km southwest of Kirkuk, said a source with the state-owned Northern Oil Company.

It was unclear what impact the attack would have on domestic production. Repairs will take about five days, the official said.
Kirkuk is 290km north of Baghdad.

1. "It was unclear what impact the attack would have on domestic production."
What does this sentence mean? That these people are too stupid to figure out what happens when someone blows up a pipeline? Do they need someone to tell them that if you blow something up, it's usually put out of action? No more oil will be coming out of there until it's fixed? That it means they'll be stealing less oil than they were before it was blown up?

Shit, someone needs to give them a call. They're terminally stupid and sound like they need all the intelligent help they can get.

3. Perhaps they can reroute it through other pipelines?
