Hamburgers and CDs help US soldiers in Ramadi base forget war outside

RAMADI, Iraq (AFP) - "We go where you go," says the slogan on the store in the US military base near the rebel stronghold of Ramadi.

The shop is a little corner of America that helps war-weary US soldiers forget for a moment that they are in the middle of the Iraq (news - web sites) conflict.

A hundred kilometres (62 miles) west of Baghdad, and several thousand kilometres from the United States, the store is wedged between palm trees and a line of army tanks.

it's stories like this that make me feel good about this war.

Fox News played a clip of a smallish soldier saying happy thanksgiving to his family, the lady back in the Fox studio said "that's so cute!"
