Armed Man Steals Salvation Army Kettle
Armed Man Steals Salvation Army Kettle

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- A gun-wielding robber swiped a red Salvation Army kettle from a collector in front of a supermarket, police said.

Volunteer Jerlene Howard said she was ringing her bell to solicit donations from shoppers Friday night when a man wearing a scarf over his face got out of a car and demanded the kettle. He "had a gun and he told me not to say anything," she said.

7. selling stuff on the street is back
I noticed guys trying to sell toys, batteries, and random crap door to door a lot in the last few months - haven't seen anything like it since the 1980s.

10. I'll be happy when the time machine cranks back to the 60's
with the protesting of the Iraq war and civil rights and sanity brought back to this country.

Expect more homeless, more hungry, more angry and more Condi Rice.

Damn, you would think he might be able to find something more productive to do when he's had a few too many wild turkeys.

3. Well don't tell those media folks who have been blowing economic
rainbows outta their asses. Wouldn't want to upset the holly jolly spendorama Christmas shoppers.

9. Getting arrested to stay warm
23 or 24 years ago, I was meeting with a homeless man. Our community had no shelter for homeless people at that time. He told me he stole the Salvation Army bucket so that he would get arrested and would have a warm place to sleep.

Now the homeless shelters are full....

11. He's just following the example set by the Nazi Party
The Nazis have made it clear that if they want anything, they just go ahead and steal it!

Then, their PRESSTITUTES say stealing was "in the name of Jesus"...

12. As long as the economy, et al, remain the same or gets worse,
more crime WILL happen.

What the robber did was low.

The Salvation Army is low for openly discriminating against gays.

corporate america is low for offshoring jobs and destroying the middle class.

Everybody is low.
