Adds 10000 or so more votes for kerry.

"Officially, the count of provisional ballots stands at 16,750 accepted and 8,552, or 34 percent, rejected. Sen. John Kerry widened his margin over President George W. Bush in the county from 217,638 to 226,880 in the official count of the race that made Ohio a nail-bite"

snip...

"I do believe it's premature to certify the votes today," said Candice Hoke, a Cleveland State University law professor. "It looks as though there were systemic problems, not that they are by design.

28. These are only provisional ballots
Edited on Wed Dec-01-04 12:52 AM by Maraya1969
I think. But they finally counted them and Kerry got about 10,000 more votes because of it.

In Ohio, Bush beat Kerry by 136,483. Now that number is 126,483, (using the increase for Kerry of 10,000 as in the original post).

BUT, if they find any irregularities and send some votes that were for Bush back to Kerry then you can count them twice. If 65,000 votes are found to be wrongfully counted as Bush votes that means that Bush LOOSES those votes and Kerry GAINS them.

The numbers now are:

Bush - 2,796,147
Kerry- 2,669,664

65,000 does not seem like a large number to me considering 10,000 were found in provisional ballots in one county. Call me an optimist but I still think there is hope.

Feel free to check my math anyone

Feel free to check my math anyone.

Kerry now needs 126,483 votes to win.

If only 64,000 votes are found to be inaccurately recorded to Bush when they should have went for Kerry then the count will be:

Bush - 2,732,147
Kerry - 2,733,664

Cuyahoga County = Cleveland, just for the people that didn't know.

It was expected to go blue, and it did. No surprise there.

They see the problems. They are aware of the problems. They enable the problems. Therefore the problems are now by design.

13. Isn't 34% rejected kind of high?
I find it hard to believe that 34% of the provisional ballots were rejected.

I know Cuyahoga County and I'll bet Kerry won by a lot more than 10,000 votes.

16. 10,000 VOTES???
Kerry just went ahead of Bush by 10,000 votes in Cleveland? So does that put him about 126,000 ahead of Bush?

What would it take for Kerry to win Ohio? Well, there are 88 counties. Cuyahoga County out makes for 87. Right now Kerry needs about 126,000 votes to tie Bush.

Take the 80 smaller rural counties. Kerry would have to show a gain of only 1,500 per county average to move ahead 120,000. That plus Cuyahoga County would put Kerry ahead 130,000. He would still need about 7,000 more to win. (Bush was ahead about 136,000 votes.)

Between Hamilton (Cincy), Franklin (Columbus), Summit (Akron), Stark (Canton and home of Diebold), he should be able to pull it out.

If voter fraud really did happen in Ohio then Kerry should be able to prove that he is more than ahead 126,000 votes.

18. Make this information public as possible
I am pleading a personal crusade in Ohio to make everyone on this list's life as difficult as possible. Call them up and bitch. PLEASE. All it takes is a few threatening phone calls. Tell them we're going to boycott their sponsors if they don't start reporting the elction scandal objectively. Please note I left out the FOX affiliates, they are the anti-christ and no one watches their new because it comes on at 10pm instead of 11pm. Have a nice day.

26. Kerry did better than Gore in Franklin county as well.
But apparently all the rural voters came out in droves to vote for Bush.
Of course, unlike people in Franklin and Cuahoga county, they likely had plenty of voting machines.

27. Has any recount anywhere ever went in Bush's favor?
If so, what is the percentage. It seems presumptive of something fishy that recounts (or counts of provisional ballots) always take from Bush and give to Kerry. I mean, what are the odds of that, if there wasn't Bush bias in the vote tabulations?

And the Miami Herald reporters who did the recount have created a little stinkin' mess of their own to deal with in Florida.

Maybe we need reporters recounting in Ohio ...?

30. In 2000 a lot of the provisional ballots found in FL
went to Bush and some of the counties that Gore was expected to win he didn't. But the vote was never fully counted and the places that Gore could have pulled out a great number of votes, (like West Palm Beach) were FIXED. They only way they could have settled that one was to have a re-vote. They wanted to do it but of course, our Supreme Court stepped in the way.

In the end Bush "won" Florida according to the election numbers by about 500.

Anyone with two brain cells still clinking around knows that Bush lost to Gore in Florida in 2000. It was a farce that still leaves a lingering odor and probably caused the 4 hurricanes last summer! (Maybe it was a warning from Mother Nature not to F**K UP this time!)

33. in Ohio I found this
"In the 2000 election, Ohio had about 120,000 provisional ballots, of which 100,000 were valid, according to Blackwell's office"

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000087&sid=agEM3UHW6zmI&refer=top_world_news

kind of funny that so many this year were marked invalid.
