TWO TASK FORCE OLYMPIA SOLDIERS KILLED FOLLOWING HELICOPTER ACCIDENT

MOSUL, Iraq -- Two Task Force Olympia Soldiers were killed and four wounded following an accident involving two Multi-National Forces helicopters yesterday. The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 9.

The wounded Soldiers have all been returned to duty.

The names of the Soldiers killed are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

2. Do you have a link? I tried searching CentCom and can't find

this. I print and post them outside my office with the latest numbers. I try to print notices from the official source rather than DU.

Makes it look more "official" and less partisan. ;-)

6. Thank you. I had one of "the kids" stop by my office today and

tell me how sad it all was; he was saying they're only 24, 25, they should be out partying. "The kid" telling me this is only 31 or so himself.

First response I've received from posting them. It felt good in a bittersweet way; these kids are dying, but some people notice.

4. Why do all of these helicopters keep crashing?

Ever since that unit refused to go on the convoy carrying the tainted fuel, I wonder if each new crash is the one who eventually received it. These guys really don't know who their real enemy is.
