Poll: Faith for Democracy in Iraq Slips
Edited on Fri Dec-10-04 01:47 PM by Tab
WASHINGTON - Americans' confidence that a stable, democratic government can be established in Iraq has eroded since last spring, according to an Associated Press poll taken amid continuing violence ahead of next month's election.

Public support for Bush's handling of the Iraq war has edged up over the past six months, however.

Fewer than half, 47 percent, think it's likely Iraq will be able to establish a stable government, according to the poll conducted for the AP by Ipsos-Public Affairs. A little more than half, 51 percent, said they think it's not likely.
...
Those most likely to have lost faith in the chances of a stable, democratic Iraq are those with college degrees, Southerners, city-dwellers, homeowners, Catholics, independents and Democrats.

1. I think shrub should take his confidence in the process over there
and preach to the Iraqi people. He really needs to get on the pulpit over there and straighten them out. Maybe Falwell can join him and they can save some souls in the process. They'll be needing some of those bullet proof vests that are in short supply and some of that junkyard Armour for the vehicle might help. In fact all those Christian soldiers who voted for shrub should be joining up in the military so they can carry out shrubs divine plans for the future.
I think I'll stop now.....I'm feeling a lot of anger for all the jerks who voted for more of this mess.

6. Why Hasn't it Worked?
All faith-based stuffs are SUPPOSED to work! That's our why great esteemed, holy leader George the Great put them into action in the first place! Faith-Based Nation Building is just one of many taxpayer funded programs of our great esteemed leader His Holiness Saint George . Just give it some time. Remember, it is god's will. It will work out in the end. God speaks through George. We must never, eeeeeeever question. ;)

7. Perhaps, "faith" in democracy,...is poor here at home.
"Democracy" is just a word,...which has no meaning, whatsoever, except in how humanity exercises that option.
