Ballots Wrongly denied in WA governor's race

he election director in Seattle's King County said Monday that hundreds of absentee ballots were mistakenly rejected in the heavily Democratic stronghold — enough to swing the close governor's race to Democrat Christine Gregoire...

Logan said election workers mistakenly rejected 561 absentee ballots because they thought signatures on the ballots did not match original voter registration records

561 votes more ! Yesss! Looks like Dino Rossi is going the way of the Dinosaurs!

1. Sounds like some hanky panky in King county. So that poor MoFo
that accepted victory. What's he thinking now? :hurts: perhaps?

3. Nope, just stupidity on the Dems' part
One of the rejected ballots belonged to King County Council Chairman Larry Phillips, The Seattle Times reported.

"I was under the absolute impression not only I voted, but followed the instructions correctly," Phillips said. "If it can happen to the King County Council chairman, it can happen to anyone else."

We won!

4. This is getting way too obvious.
For so many Republicans to be doing this across so many states, there must be a concerted effort coming from some where. I say you look at places where you haven't looked before. This has a wide outreach. It's time to find the people responsible for dismissing so many democratic votes.

BTW, is there a process to find those 500+ people to verify they sent in a ballot?

5. Let's see, 561 ballots
If they break in heavily Democratic King County by merely 302-259, the outcome of the election is reversed. Hmmmm.

Arrivederci, Dino?

6. Thanks for the good news
I know that the GOP was pushing hard to stop the recount. I would love to see the Democrat win.

7. Agreement is likely
The best part;

" King County Elections Director Dean Logan said he will ask the county Canvass Board on Wednesday to amend the results of the Nov. 2 election in his county. Agreement is likely; Logan has a seat on the three-person board, and one of the other members is a Democrat."

8. Great news! With only 42 votes separating the candidates,
561 votes will go a long way.
