Pataki considering seeking fourth term
Gov. George Pataki said he's considering seeking a fourth term in 2006.

But the third-term Republican governor said he won't make a decision until after the upcoming legislative session ends.

In an interview Tuesday with The Associated Press in Albany, Pataki said it's flattering to be considered a potential 2008 candidate for the GOP presidential nomination. But the governor said that's a decision that will have to wait until later.

2. The same asshats crying that Albany is broken...
will gleefully run to the polls to re-elect him too. Unfortunate.

8. I was going to say ...
you must be from Rochester.

I remember the endless Repuke ads this election cycle, about how Albany is broken. It took me several views to see who the ads were supposed to benefit.

Cheers

11. Actually, no
This time around, Pataki seems to have also burned his bridges on the right. The Republican - led Senate just overrode his veto on the minmum wage law, and the Conservative Party is planning to withdraw its cross-endorsement. I think just about everynoe recognizes its time for him to go.

The only downside to this whole situation is that, with Giuliani's recent stumble over Kerik, he might be reevaluating his plan to run for the White House, and decide to try for Albany instead -- beatable, but a tougher opponent.

5. From what I understand, he's been polling really well against Pataki
But not as well against Giuliani in a hypothetical matchup.

6. He's toast ...
He was hardly interested in being Gov, this term. He has been looking to leach into a spot in the admin. I can't imagine he will be able to convince anyone he is interested in this job. I have also heard that he wants to run for Prez.

Spitzer is a Rock star in NY.

I see no reason to to keep a RINO as Gov, when you can have the Real Deal.

Cheers
