Judge denies asylum to retarded boy

Arlington, VA, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- A Virginia judge has denied political asylum to a mildly retarded teen whose cause has been supported by more than 70 members of Congress.

Government forces in Guinea killed Malik Jarno's father in 1998 and his brother disappeared around the same time, the Washington Post reported Friday.

His mother had died years before so he sought a home with relatives in Europe, but they did not want to raise a retarded relative and so, at age 16, he was put him on a plane bound for Dulles Airport with a fake passport.

Jarno then spent nearly three years in jail before a team of pro-bono lawyers took up his asylum plea, at which point he began to receive widespread publicity. Amnesty International and more than 70 members of Congress have written to the Department of Homeland Security to support him.

I believe the biblical quote is "that which you do for the least, you do to me...I think that's correct.

5. wait a minute
just what does the the boy's fucking family have to say for themselves!?!?!?!? They took their OWN flesh and blood, make up a fake passport, and just put him on a plane to a country where he knew NO ONE???? all because they didn't want a 'retard' in the house!?!?

In all honesty, how do they sleep at night??

If they can find a real loving home for the boy then by all means he should stay, but I'm sorry, his so-called 'family' in Europe needs to be hunted down like some fucking trash-eating vermin if they really did this

8. Hmmm...a Times story?
Makes me wonder if this is a "set up" article. You know, let out this horrible story about some "activist judge"..then when the public outrage takes hold, Bush (or one of his toadies) swoops down and blesses he child, granting him asylum all in the name of "famiy values"...

(Am I jaded?)
