Iraqi PM Warns Neighbors on Insurgency
Iraqi PM Warns Neighbors on Insurgency

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Prime Minister Ayad Allawi made an unusually strong warning to Iraq's neighbors to crack down on insurgents infiltrating from their territory, saying Friday that Iraq's patience was wearing thin. Al-Qaida, meanwhile, claimed responsibility for a bold attack on U.S. troops.

Iraqi officials have repeatedly accused Syria and Iran of supporting the insurgents waging a campaign of violence against American forces and Allawi's U.S.-backed government. Both countries have denied helping militants or allowing them to cross their borders into Iraq.

But Allawi's comments to Baghdad's Al-Iraqiya television were among his toughest yet. "Some countries are hosting people who are involved in harming the Iraqi people," he said, without naming any nations. "Harming Iraq and its people is not allowed."

He said his government had contacted the countries and was waiting for their reply. "According to the answers we will decide what the next step will be," he said.

1. So, Iraq is going to declare war on it's neighbors
yet again, with American support? Or rather, this time it will be the US declaring war on Iraqs neighbors, but using Iraq as a proxy, but with US soldiers doing most of the actual killing and dieing.

Well, they've been wanting an excuse to go after Iran and Syria from the very beginning, and now that Bush has his Man Date, I guess he's going to go for it.

10. go for it? Oh boy wouldn't Bush just Love to
one small question---where is he going to get the warm bodies to acconplish this? Are we not up to our goddamn eyeballs now. Maybe he can hire some poor dumbbells from other countries, sort of an American Foreign legion.

He's collaborating with the western colonialist occupation forces. He'll be lucky to live until February.

4. Keep waiting. Things should be better aaaaany day now.
Be patient, my fellow Americans. Waiting is Hard Work®.
If the courageous Prime Minister Allawi asks us, we shall of course go to war with Iran and Syria with American troops serving solely in a back-up role to the Iraqi forces...you know...like they are now.

6. Shouldn't he wait until he's "democratically elected". . .
before he blusters and shouts and commits his successor to a war a "legitimately elected" government might possibly avoid?

7. When I saw this my first thought was 'oh yeah, and what army you gonna
use? Ours?" Then I realized that of course he meant ours. His is full of people who, if given a chance, would kill him faster than his mouth could spin (lies).

If this is how bush** plans on getting in Iran and Syria he'd better think again. Even the nutjobs are getting sick of the war and the cost of the war. Let him bring back the draft, which he'll have to even if we don't go into either country, and the douche bags who were so stupid that they voted for him will begin to notice that he's nothing but a liar. bush** is stretching his crediblity a little too thin these days for most people except for the truly truly brainwashed and insane.

Lowest rating of any president just coming into his second term would be a warning to most regimes. This one is just to arrogant to understand that they could possibly go too far. They are almost there (I think).

9. Actually, if you remove the politics behind it....
its a reasonable request. As much as I don't like the unnecessary war, someone has to respect the sovereignty of Iraq (* didn't).

11. Except the vast majority of rebels are IRAQIS, oh Mr. 45 minutes Allawi.

Mr. CIA-sponsored-car-bombing-terrorist Allawi.

And of the 353 "foreigners" out of 10,000 Iraqi detainees, how many have been living in Iraq for years?
