'Axis of evil' top Bush's second-term agenda
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-01-01-bush-abroad_x.htm

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The three countries President Bush called an "axis of evil" in his first term are at the top of his foreign policy to-do list in the second, along with a revitalized Mideast peace process and continued efforts to repair European alliances frayed by the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

War and reconstruction in Iraq are likely to continue to command more attention than any other international issues, at least for the first couple of years of Bush's new term.

"The first priority has got to be getting Iraq right," said Max Boot, a conservative expert on national security at the Council on Foreign Relations.

not going to get it from the bush* buddies, nor will their kids be the ones fighting

least likely alternative would be tax-hikes. Most likely alternative will be to raise the deficit, and allow foreign investors to own more of America -- however the higher the deficit goes, the lower the dollar value goes -- won't be long before these investors decide to forclose

8. One word: Social Security ?
"Where are we getting the money to fund his crackpot schemes??"

I have felt for some time now that they must have figured out a scheme to get their hands on the Social Security funds. Not just Wall Street making hay from investing it, but somehow Bu**co stealing the bulk of it. I firmly believe that has to be what's behind the big push to do away with SS as we know it. He needs trillions. Where can he put his hands on trillions? Social Security. There is method to his madness.

China has close ties with both Iran and NK. It is seriously doubtful
that the Neo Fascists of Amerika are going to risk the economic and military clout of China by attacking either of those nations.

9. Never underestimate the stupidity of the Bush Neo-Fascists..........
just when you think that they've reached a level of stupidity that can't be topped, they always surprise us by paling the previous level with a new and unheard of stupidity quotient.
They are the Masters of Stupidity. They've raised it to an Art form.

since Oct. 21. We just turn over all our billions to Halliburton and since the election, no one has bothered with an update on progress.

12. Their stupidity and arrogance is incredible. Before the end of January
the plans for the draft will be not a rumor, but an actual fact.

bush** has already broken every campaign promise he made except that one. He's just waiting to be crowned to start forcing kids into the military. You can hardly conquer the world with an army of guys over 50 now, can you?

18.  You're right about the draft. And that's what will ruin him.

He's between Iraq and a hard place (well, apun my word). He must have more cannon fodder, younger cannon fodder, but since Viet Nam Americans have eschewed a draft.

In the 50s and 60s when I grew to adulthood, the military service was simply one of the responsibilities of the young male. Viet Nam turned that around, being the one thing that turned us against war for a generation. Returning the draft will throw us right back into that mindset. And turn America against the administration.

So much is known about the lies he used to get us into Iraq that it's likely to cause significant dissatisfaction. Even among those who voted for him.

Funny how Americans love death. Unless it's their relatives dieing.

22. There will be no need for a draft!!!
The economy is rapidly progressing to such a state of unemployment..and poverty to such a degree, that "soldier" will soon be the only way to earn enough money to survive....soon many will line up to inlist...better than starvation.
