20 more Americans presumed dead in tsunamis; toll now at 36

BANDA ACEH, Indonesia (CNN) -- The State Department was expected to announce on Wednesday that 20 additional Americans were presumed to be dead after the tsunamis in southern Asia, bringing the number of American deaths to 36, CNN has learned.

State Department officials said that in addition to 16 American deaths that have been confirmed, 20 were presumed dead -- 19 in Thailand and one in Sri Lanka.

On 9/11 there were assumed 15000 americans killed and the number was more and more reduced. In the tsunami disaster there were only a few death reported first and the number will rise later.

Could it be, that now the death can't be exploited ?

2. Bush can't use tsunami deaths for political gain

although now he seems to be using his "generosity" in funding releif efforts to make him seem like such a good guy. Even though Germany ALONE is pledging 900 million.
