Audit: UN overpaid for Gulf War losses

The UN has overpaid individuals, companies and Gulf States for losses in Iraq's 1990 invasion of Kuwait by as much as $5 billion.

Some 19 internal audits of the UN Compensation Commission (UNCC) relating to the compensation scheme were posted on its website on Monday.

The audits of the Geneva-based UNCC, carried out by the UN Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) from July 1997 to December 2004, do not identify any corruption.

Volcker said in an interview published in the New York Times on Friday that the internal audits, while professionally done and very detailed, "don't prove anything".

Who said he had the ONLY "PROOF" yet has refused to this day to show his "PROOF" to anyone???

Why it's none other than Mr. George "I don't really know him" bush's buddy, fugitive, known forger, world famous liar, and Iranian spy, CHALABI!

After all the lies and the Iranian spy thing, one woulda thunk teh rightwingnuts would have known better than to believe Chal;abi's "UN food for oil scandal".

Rightwingnuts LIKE being total rubes duped, conned, tricked & lied to. They LIKE it, they really LIKE it.
