San Diego Reacts To Bishop's New Condom Policy
oh, please, DU the poll!!!!

SAN DIEGO -- An announcement by bishops in Spain supporting the use of condoms is sending shockwaves through the Catholic world that are reverberating in San Diego.

While Roman Catholic bishops at the Vatican have repeatedly spoken out against the use of artificial birth control, including the use of condoms, a spokesperson at a recent Spanish bishops conference said condoms have a place in the global prevention of AIDS.

Rod Valdivia, chancellor for San Diego's Catholic diocese, said the stance is "inconsistent with the Spanish bishop'slong-standing position on birth control."

6. One thing that's kept the Catholic church so large is that....

....they haven't been willing to approve of controlling population. No population control means bigger populations. Bigger populations mean more contributions to the church. More contributions to the church mean more money going to rome.
