Zarqawi Tape Vows Lengthy War in Iraq
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 09:46 AM by no_to_war_economy
The speaker, who identified himself as the Jordanian militant, said insurgents were crushing the morale of "tyrant" America and called on them to be patient in their street battles because God had promised victory.

"The fruits of jihad (holy war) come after much patience and a lengthy stay in the battlefield ... which could last months and years," he said. "In the fight against the arrogant American tyrant who carries the flag of the cross, we find that despite its military might it is being crushed emotionally and morally."

1. This is all so sad. I think these people would like to vote.
I talked to a lot of people in Saudi when I was there and they would like to vote for their own gov. and I am sure they would be happy to do this in the Middle East. I just do not under stand why we did what we did or why the terrorist do what they do. It will all come down to these people finally getting to vote for their rulers. Look at the world. This way to gov. one self is going all over the world . Can not be stopped and you can not force it in these people. Or I do not think so. Why so much pain from every one when it all will happen.

6. The terrorists do what they do because we meddle in their countries
steal their resources and murder their families and friends. It's not at all hard to figure out.

2. Who is Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi?

http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO405B.html

<snip>Al Zarqawi is often described as an "Osama associate", the bogyman, allegedly responsible for numerous terrorist attacks in several countries. In other reports, often emanating from the same sources, it is stated that he has no links to Al Qaeda and operates quite independently. He is often presented as an individual who is challenging the leadership of bin Laden.

His name crops up on numerous occasions in press reports and official statements. Since early 2004, he is in the news almost on a daily basis.

Osama belongs to the powerful bin Laden family, which historically had business ties to the Bushes and prominent members of the Texas oil establishment. Bin Laden was recruited by the CIA during the Soviet-Afghan war and fought as a Mujahideen. In other words, there is a longstanding documented history of bin Laden-CIA and bin Laden-Bush family links, which are an obvious source of embarrassment to the US government.

In contrast to bin Laden, Al-Zarqawi has no family history. He comes from an impoverished Palestinian family in Jordan. His parents are dead. He emerges out of the blue. snip

The CIA, with its $30 billion plus budget, pleads ignorance: they say they know nothing about him, they have a photograph, but, according to the Weekly Standard (24 May 2004), they apparently do not know his weight or height.

4. bush wanted to keep this guy alive
Military officials insist their case for attacking Zarqawi’s operation was airtight, but the administration feared destroying the terrorist camp in Iraq could undercut its case for war against Saddam.

8. This is straight out of the book "1984"
The creation and support of the other side in order to perpetuate war is a key feature of Orwell's world in 1984. When it all comes out, after the sorry and terrible transgressions of this little war become exposed, I would bet that Zarqawi is an invention to act as opposition, and that the "insurgency" is on the U.S. payroll somewhere. How is it that the attacks have become so much more effective as of late, and how is it that the insurgents have such clear knowledge of how to take out infrastructure in Iraq? This will be just like the WMD fallacy. This is the logic that doesn't compute: Why would people take out their own heat, water, and transportation? How does this further their cause? It doesn't, and I still can't get over the notion that there is something much more sinister going on behind the scenes.

10. Great link Don
to add;
...A major turning point in the propaganda campaign occurs on February 5, 2003. Al-Zarqawi was in the spot light following Colin Powell's flopped WMD report to the UN Security Council. Powell's speech presented "documentation" on the ties between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, while focusing on the central role of Al-Zarqawi: (emphasis added):

Our concern is not just about these illicit weapons; it's the way that these illicit weapons can be connected to terrorists and terrorist organizations...

But what I want to bring to your attention today is the potentially much more sinister nexus between Iraq and the Al Qaeda terrorist network, a nexus that combines classic terrorist organizations and modern methods of murder. Iraq today harbors a deadly terrorist network, headed by Abu Musaab al-Zarqawi, an associate and collaborator of Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaeda lieutenants.

3. If their votes
are going to have the same influence as ours do, I'd say why bother.

A cynic once said, "If your vote really mattered, 'they' wouldn't allow you to vote.

My definition of 'they' is the several hundred global corporations and banks which control the hallowed "global economy."

12. I'm surprised he didn't praise Barbara Boxer
also I'm surprised he didn't have any comments about Social Security. Have Zarqawi come out against private accounts, it would sail thru Congress.
