Saturday marks the 32nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade ruling

January 22, 2005

in honor of all the brave who went before us.
We forget how difficult it was for them to speek out-and now it is slowly but surely slipping away.

Saturday marks the 32nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade ruling

January 22, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO Abortion rights supporters say there's little time to let their guard down as they mark the anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling.

Meantime, those looking to overturn the decision says the country is turning in its direction. Today is the 32nd anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion. And a spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood Golden Gate says it's concerned that a few retirements at the high court could lead to its reversal.

She says they're being "ever vigilant" and are preparing for "four more years of an unending attack on women's rights."

1. And the Evangelicals are calling Sunday 1/23 Sanctity of Life Sunday
I am sure that all preachers will preach anti abortion statements tomorrow, I know ours will.
But I am sure they will not mention one the death and destruction taking place in Iraq.
I think I will try to find a way to miss church this week.

2. I might have read this here before or discussed it with someone
but is not the supreme court made up of judges now who would overturn the ruling? I don't think the neocons want it overturned cuz once that is done, all those Catholic union workers will now vote democrat no? Why would a Catholic union worker keep voting conservative. And that would just be one voter block who they would loose or have to find another issue to keep them.

4. Here's what they want
To go back to the "good ol' days" when sluts who didn't want their 12th child ended up dead with their entrails hanging out.

7. yes and we should be on guard
Edited on Sat Jan-22-05 05:17 PM by SuffragetteSal
for sensationalized anti-abortion stories during this time of the 32 anniversary. While our president states he is working for the freedom of all people including women of the middle east, we women here at home in the US are under attack of losing the rights others fought so long and hard for.

I hope they bring their lunch because we American women will be up for kicking some arse!
