US tried to plant WMDs, failed: whistleblower 23.01.05
<snip>

According to a stunning report posted by a retired Navy Lt Commander and 28-year veteran of the Defense Department (DoD), the Bush administration’s assurance about finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was based on a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) plan to “plant” WMDs inside the country. Nelda Rogers, the Pentagon whistleblower, claims the plan failed when the secret mission was mistakenly taken out by “friendly fire”, the Environmentalists Against War report.

3. Hm. Al Martin. CIA. Pakistan Intel. Info-wars and psy-ops. Sort it out?!
Edited on Sun Jan-23-05 11:25 AM by JohnOneillsMemory
I remember this revived story circulating back after the initial invasion when we were all expecting WMD to be planted like a bad cop doing a frameup.

Consider the CONTEXT of the story and not just the story itself. That is how you read during the psy-ops info-wars we live in.

There is a not-so-civil war going on in the CIA with a purge of those who won't help the neo-cons lie their way into oil wars.
Pakistan is at the heart of the neo-cons efforts to 'claim' oil for empire. The story makes sense but is also at the center of the world's leading disinformation zone second only to the White House.

Is this a ramping up of leaking by CIA people who are throwing gas on the neo-con bonfire of pundit and public opinion? Or is this good info?

What is the role of this online paper? I've read some seemingly solid stuff in it in the past but realize that Pakistan and its intel service worked with CIA to build up the Taliban to stabilize Afghanistan and build a pipeline for Caspian Sea area gas and oil.

5. I sent it to Keith Olberman to investigate. He's got the resources.
Interesting how the newscasters we trust are a guy who's show highlights oddities and wierd police chases, and another who's a comedian. I know there's no point in sending it to NBC, CBS, or ABC.

6. I've always suspected that this is why David Kelly was assassinated.
Kelly was the British top Iraq weapons inspector, and was whistleblowing to the BBC on the Blair government's exaggerations and falsehoods about Iraq WMDs, when he was found dead near his home, apparently of slashed wrists and OD of pain pills. But there were many strange things about his death--including the manner of his death, the manner of the discovery of his body, and an email he sent to a friend just before his death, speaking about "dark actors playing games." At the time (July 2003), there was nothing that Bush and Blair more needed, politically, than a find of WMDs in Iraq. Kelly was in the perfect position to have stumbled upon a plot to plant them there, and seems to have been the kind of man who would act to stop such a plan.

The investigation of his death is considered by most reasonable people (and a majority of Brits) to have been a blatant whitewash.

If he was assassinated, his discovery and potential exposure of a plot to plant WMDs in Iraq makes a lot more sense as a motive to kill him than his whistleblowing on Blair's exaggerations and falsehoods.
