3. The above exclude at least 15 dead US who were "wounded" first
and then died from their wounds.

The Pentagon works hard to present a low number.

It also excludes the medical deaths caused by the troops being forced to take untested vac shots before going over (variously reported as 40 to 50 "sick" and "several" dead)

4. There was a big fight overnight
It was on Yahoo's front page this morning, Centcom says three american dead and two wounded. This from a firefight that lasted for eight hours, with heavy machine guns, rpgs, and small arms coming from the iraqis.
They say it was different in both the style, and type of weapons used plus the duration. It's gotten awfully quiet in the past couple of hours. It's like it's been censored, nobody is saying anything even here.

5. NPR ran a BBC interview that said resistence is changing, getting broad
based - interconnected groups - planned multi-phase raids

Indeed the Iraq analysis was that in a few months we will have an active viet cong like everyday iraq citizen by day, fighter by night situation in all areas of Iraq.

Not yet there - now individuals are only into small groups - and have not yet interconnected with similiasr groups in other areas of the city and the nation. But Time is not on our side.....
