A man suspected of organising a Valentine's Day mass suicide pact via an internet chat room will face a grand jury in Oregon next week.

Klamath County sheriff's department said yesterday that at least 32 people from across the US and Canada were to take part in the Feb 14 "virtual suicide party" planned by Gerald Krien, 26.

Detectives were alerted by one of the participants, a Canadian woman, who discovered that a mother planned to kill her two children before committing suicide next Monday.

Krien was arrested and his computer seized. He is being held on charges of solicitation to commit murder.

2. sometimes i wonder how bush can sucker people into believing his bull, but
then i read stories like this and realize that many, many people are on the verge of believing almost anything... like murder/suicide will fix things.
