U.S. soldier killed in action in Iraq
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L16449603.htm

BAGHDAD, Feb 16 (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier was killed in action in Iraq's western Al Anbar province, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

The soldier, who belonged to the 1 Marine Expeditionary Force, died on Tuesday, the military said in a statement. It gave few details on grounds that information could help guerrillas and put U.S. troops at greater risk.

More than 1,100 U.S. troops have been killed in combat in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003 to topple Saddam Hussein.

1. Thanks for something that really matters
I often see you post this info and I'm thankful that you make sure we never forget what's going on every day.
Bush & Co. are murderers. I hate when they only list troops who've been killed in combat. Anything to make the number seem as low as possible. And isn't "more than 1100" a bit open-ended.

Actual number:
Total US troops fatalities in Iraq - 1463.

3. Yes Our kids are dying
and being maimed daily. I'm glad it's mentioned here because the conservative sites have swept these stats under the rug as if that's where they belonged.
