4. This is the only responsible course
snip>
While Democrats are careful to underscore their support for U.S. troops, they insist the Bush administration should be held to a higher level of accountability.

"We have got a responsibility as a Congress, to the taxpayers and to the country, and to the objective of success in assuring that money is spent effectively and applied to the objectives for which it is appropriated," said Congressman Steny Hoyer.

Some conservative and moderate House Democrats have proposed legislation called the War Funding Accountability Act......

5. The only way to support our troops
is to make sure they GET the money, and start bringing them home. I'm glad some of our reps are doing their job. We have to keep holding the rest of THEM accountable, too.

6. 100 buck for a bag of laundry
That is what KBR charges the government to clean troop's shorts.

I wrote a rant on this recently on my blog, I was so outraged that 100 bucks per bag x 150,000 troops if they washed their clothes just 1 time in their entire career in Iraq is 15 million bucks!

15 million bucks that could of bought armor, up armored humvees, 15 million that could of gone towards a social program that is now being cut.

they are leaving 80,000 dollar vehicles on the side of the road dead because they have no spare tire. Or oil filters for tuneups.

45 bucks for a case of soda at coso you can pay 6 bucks, buying 7 cases for what you would pay to KBR.

If you cut Halliburton out today, you could half our deficit in 10 years with out making 1 cut to any of the social programs on the cutting board!..
