Beasts of Satan band members jailed for killings

Two members of a heavy metal band called the Beasts of Satan were yesterday given hefty prison sentences for killings that shocked Italy and raised questions about the spread of devil-worship among young people.

A judge in the northern town of Busto Arzisio gave one of the killers a longer sentence than had been sought by the prosecution. Andrea Volpe, who was convicted of fatally wounding his former girlfriend, was given 30 years in jail - 10 more than requested.

Mariangela Pezzotta was shot in January 2004, apparently because she knew too many of the group's secrets. Prosecutors believed she may have been alive when she was buried.

A second man, Pietro Guerrieri, was sentenced to 16 years in jail after confessing, along with Volpe, to a role in an earlier double murder.

Now, because of these assholes, all heavy metal bands will be viewed as murderous satan worshippers.

Oh, and Buddhists...they don't even have a God and that can't be right. Lessee....Catholics are pagan idolaters according to S. Baptists, they deserve jail for that, no?
And of course Muslims, goes without saying.

The poster merely said that all the Satan Worshippers s/he had met belonged in prison. That is a statement of opinion about a certain number of individuals whom the poster reports having encountered directly -- not some kind of blanket advocacy of incarcerating entire religious groups solely on the basis of their beliefs.

If all the Satanists you've met happened to be -- say -- members of a violent outlaw biker gang, for instance, then you might quite reasonably make a statement like that of Yinkaafrica's.
