Bush to Host Italian Leader at His Ranch
Edited on Mon Jul-14-03 11:00 AM by Nambe

President Bush will host Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi at his Texas ranch this weekend, a reward for Berlusconi's strong support during the Iraq war.

Berlusconi, a conservative, has been a stalwart Bush backer. With the ranch visit Sunday and Monday, he earns the rare distinction of having visited Bush at both Camp David, Md. and the ranch. ---

9. I'm sure that those two fascists will get along quite well, together
"Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini

"The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic State itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism -- ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power." -- Franklin D. Roosevelt

13. THE ITALIAN'S "FOUND" THE NIGER DOCUMENT!
This is significant...if anything, it shows that Bush is trying to find out how the Italian's came across the Niger/Yellow Cake document or, more likely, the Bush cabal and the Italians are coming together to get their story straight.

14. Oh, I would be so honored.
No doubt they will sit around and watch spaghetti westerns, seeing themselves as the macho heroes in those movies.

Oh, wait, the heroes in those movies actually did their own fighting. Maybe they could play the damsels in distress.

15. Maybe Der Shrubenfuhrer
will take this opportunty to ask Berulsconi for political asylum in Italy if he can manage a late night flight out of the White House on AF1 before the rabble break down the front gates. He already knows Spanish. Italian shouldn't be too hard for him to pick up.
